To delete a SignApp sheet:

A paid and registered user sent us a feedback about having the option to download the sign up sheets for free. We listened and just rolled out this feature. Thank you very much for helping us make SignApp Now better.

We just released a version of the app where, as sign up sheet creators, you'll be able to edit and delete sheets and sign ups. Other features included in this version are:

• Your own personalized site address. For example: http://<your school name>.signappnow.com
• Access to your expired sign up sheets
• Set limit to the number of sign ups. You can indicate the sign up limit of a particular sign up sheet.
• Create private sign up sheets. People signing up will not see other sign ups.

These features are not available in the "free and no registration required" version of the app. You'll need to register for an account to access these features. There is a one-time registration fee of $9.95 (you pay after the 30-day free trial period). One-time means you just pay once and use the app for as long as you want. If you use the app for a year, that's 83 cents per month--very cheap!

Charging a registration fee covers some costs in running the site and development expenses. We are still developing more features to make the app better.

One disadvantage of being a free service and not requiring users to register is getting spammed. We've been noticing a lot of sign up sheets being created are spam. Topics are mostly links to obscene sites. We assume these are automatically created by spam programs. We've added a simple math question when creating a sign up sheet to address the issue. The math question changes every time the page loads. This is an experiment. We hope this somehow prevents spam programs from creating sign up sheets.

Entering an email is now optional when creating a SignApp sheet. We made things simple for you. We required an email before because we send you the link to the sheet you created. We thought you'll just forward the email to everyone you'd like to sign up. We realized asking for your email is not really important. We'll still email you the link if you provide an email. If you don't provide an email, you can copy the link displayed after creating your sign up sheet and you can send them to anyone you'd like to sign up. It's up to you how you send the link. You can use the ShareThis widget provided.

We implemented a minor enhancement to the application. We've added ShareThis widgets to the confirmation page after you've created a sign up sheet and to the sign up sheet page. It will now be convenient and easy for you to email and share your sign up sheet links on Facebook, Twitter, and all the other popular social network services.

SignApp Now is a bootstrapped startup. It isn't really generating income now to cover expenses. So we do consulting work to pay ourselves and be able to continue working on the application. We submitted SignApp Now to "SaaS Entrepreneur Camp" (http://www.devcon.ph/DevCon.ph/SaaS_eCamp.html). It's a business idea competition here in the Philippines. Though SignApp Now isn't really a business idea anymore, but it still qualifies. The winning team will receive up to 2 years operating capital from an angel investor. We can stop doing consulting work and work full time on SignApp Now if we win. (Fingers crossed)

Wouldn't it be great if you can download your sign up sheet after the sign up period expires? It would be very convenient to get a copy of the sign up list in XLS format to be able to edit or print it. Good news! We're happy to announce you can now DOWNLOAD your SignApp list for USD$1.00. This is a new feature we've implemented. After creating your sign up sheet, you have the option to pay (via PayPal) to be able to download your sign up list. We'll email you a download link and you can download your list anytime up to 30 days after the sign up period expires. 

We've fully deployed the Japanese translation of the site. We've translated English texts in images to Japanese. You should see it if your browser is set to Japanese or you can access it at  http://www.signappnow.com/?lang=ja. Again, thank you very much to Akiko Yanagi for helping us with the translation.
